A restorative 5-day luxury wellness itinerary built for rest rather than sightseeing: traditional hammam and spa rituals in a Marrakech palace-riad, mountain air, yoga and gentle hiking at a High Atlas wellness lodge, and a thalassotherapy finale by the Atlantic. Fully private and chauffeured, with healthy, locally sourced dining and a slow, digital-detox pace.

Day 1
Arrive Marrakech · palace-riad & first hammam
A private airport welcome and a gentle transfer to a tranquil palace-riad in the medina, chosen for its garden, plunge pool and spa. After mint tea and time to settle, an unhurried late-afternoon traditional hammam — steam, a black-soap (savon noir) cleanse and a kessa-glove gommage exfoliation — followed by a quiet, lightly spiced dinner of seasonal vegetables and grilled fish.
- Palace-riad with spa
- Traditional hammam & savon noir
- Light seasonal dinner

Day 2
Marrakech · gardens, rituals & a slow afternoon
A calm morning rather than a sightseeing march: a private, optional stroll through the serene Le Jardin Secret or Majorelle before the crowds, then back to the riad for a long argan-oil massage and a rest by the pool. The afternoon is deliberately open — a yoga or stretching session in the courtyard, herbal tea, and an early, nourishing dinner. The pace is unhurried and screens are easy to set aside.
- Quiet garden walk
- Argan-oil massage
- Courtyard yoga & downtime

A short, scenic chauffeured climb into the High Atlas — roughly ninety minutes to two hours — to a serene wellness lodge set among Berber villages and walnut groves. Clear mountain air, a welcome herbal infusion, and an afternoon gentle guided walk along the valley at your own rhythm. A mountain hammam or massage before a wholesome dinner of local, garden-grown produce.

Day 4
Atlas to the Atlantic · sea air & thalassotherapy
Down from the mountains and west to the breezy coast at Essaouira — a chauffeured transfer of roughly three to three-and-a-half hours through argan country, padded for stops. Settle into a calm sea-view stay, then a thalassotherapy session — warm seawater hydro-pools and marine treatments that use the sea's own minerals — followed by a slow walk along the long Atlantic beach and a fresh, simple seafood dinner.
- Sea-view coastal stay
- Thalassotherapy (seawater therapy)
- Atlantic beach walk

Day 5
Essaouira · final ritual & departure

- Sunrise by the sea
- Final massage
- Private airport transfer

Practical notes
- This is a retreat, not a circuit: three calm bases — a Marrakech palace-riad, a High Atlas wellness lodge and the Essaouira coast — linked by short, scenic transfers with generous downtime, not packed sightseeing days.
- Treatments are described generically and tailored on arrival: a traditional hammam combines steam, a savon noir (black-soap) cleanse and a kessa-glove gommage; massages typically use argan or essential oils; thalassotherapy means warm-seawater hydro-pools and marine treatments. We match intensity to your preference.
- Dining throughout leans light, seasonal and locally sourced — vegetables, grilled fish, fruit and herbal teas — with everything adaptable to dietary needs.
- Spring and autumn are loveliest for this route: warm but not fierce in Marrakech, fresh in the Atlas and breezy on the coast. The High Atlas is cooler and the Atlantic noticeably cooler and windier than the interior — bring a light layer. Drive times are approximate and we pad them for stops.
- The whole journey is private and chauffeured, with a deliberately slow, digital-detox pace — no shared groups at any point.
Frequently asked
How is this different from your other 5-day Morocco itinerary?
Our other 5-day trip is an active Marrakech-and-Sahara circuit with long scenic drives and a desert camp. This one is the opposite in spirit: a restorative wellness retreat focused on hammam and spa rituals, mountain air and yoga, and seawater thalassotherapy on the coast — slow days, plenty of rest and very little driving each day.
What is a traditional hammam, and what does thalassotherapy involve?
A hammam is a steam-bath ritual: you warm in the steam, are cleansed with savon noir (a soft black olive-oil soap), then exfoliated with a kessa glove (a gommage) and rinsed — deeply relaxing and skin-softening. Thalassotherapy is seawater-based therapy: warm seawater hydro-pools and marine treatments that use the sea's minerals, done by the Atlantic at Essaouira.
Is five days enough for a wellness retreat in Morocco?
Comfortably, for a focused reset. Five days gives you spa rituals in Marrakech, restorative mountain air in the Atlas and a thalassotherapy finale on the coast at a genuinely slow pace. If you would like deeper rest or to add the desert, we can extend it to seven days with extra nights at the lodge and the coast.
