Why Marrakech

Marrakech is where a Moroccan honeymoon usually begins, and where its most indulgent days unfold. The discerning traveller arrives by private transfer to a palace hotel in the Palmeraie or a jewel-box riad hidden deep in the medina — courtyards scented with orange blossom, a plunge pool, a resident hammam. Days are shaped by a private chauffeur-guide: the souks of Semmarine before the crowds, the cobalt calm of the Majorelle gardens, a candlelit dinner behind discreet walls. By night the Koutoubia is floodlit gold and the city belongs, for an evening, to the two of you.

What to see

Highlights of Marrakech.

01

The medina, privately and after hours

Your own guide threads the souks of Semmarine and Mouassine, opening doors to private courtyards and ateliers most visitors never see — and timing Jemaa el-Fnaa for the golden, theatrical dusk.

02

Bahia Palace & Saadian Tombs

The honeyed zellige and carved-cedar courtyards of a 19th-century palace, and the rediscovered royal necropolis — visited early, before the doors open to the day.

03

Majorelle, YSL & a garden lunch

The cobalt garden Yves Saint Laurent saved, the museum charting his Marrakech years, and a quiet table among the bamboo away from the crowds.

04

Agafay sunset, just the two of you

Forty minutes from the city, a private lantern-lit camp in the stone desert: a chauffeured arrival, dinner under the stars, the High Atlas blushing pink at sundown.

05

Atlas foothills & a riverside table

An hour into the mountains for Berber villages and a long, unhurried lunch beside the water — a soft, green counterpoint to the heat of the city.

FAQ

Marrakechcommon questions.

How many days do you need in Marrakech for a luxury honeymoon?+

Three nights lets you settle into a palace riad, see the medina and monuments privately and slip out for an Agafay sunset. Four adds the luxury of slow mornings — a hammam ritual, breakfast in the courtyard, nowhere to be.

Where should honeymooners stay in Marrakech?+

Two styles suit couples: an intimate restored riad deep in the medina, with a private courtyard and rooftop, for atmosphere; or a palace hotel in the Palmeraie or on the city edge, for space, spa and gardens. We match the property to the mood you want and arrange private transfers throughout.

What is the best month for a romantic visit to Marrakech?+

March–May and September–November bring warm days (22–28°C) and cool, candlelit evenings — ideal for rooftop dinners. June–August can reach 40°C; December–February is mild by day with cool nights for the fireplace.
