Overview

The royal route, elevated: Marrakech, Rabat, Volubilis, Fes and the blue medina of Chefchaouen — staying only in palace riads inside the medinas, with private historians in each city and a dedicated chauffeur-guide throughout.

Morocco's imperial cities each ruled the country in turn, and each left a layer of palaces, madrasas and craft that rewards a slow, knowledgeable visit. This eight-day private journey traces them in comfort — but it is the standard of stay and guiding that sets it apart.

You sleep inside every medina in the finest courtyard riads we represent — restored palaces with plunge pools, rooftop dinners and impeccable service. In each city a university-trained private historian opens doors most visitors never see: a master zellige workshop in Fes, a private rooftop over the tanneries, a Fassi family table. Driving days are short and chauffeured, with cold towels, water and a flexible pace.

This is the cultural heart of Morocco for travellers who want depth without compromise on comfort — and it tailors beautifully into a honeymoon or a milestone celebration.

Frequently asked

Questions about this tour.

Is "Luxury Imperial Cities" private or a group tour?

100% private. Just you and the people you book with — your own driver, vehicle and pace from start to finish. We never pool travellers.

Can I change the dates or itinerary?

Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a riad, change the start city — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.

How fit do I need to be?

Moderate. Expect 2–4 hours of light walking per day and one or two longer driving days. We pace days carefully and stop often.

When should I book?

For high season (Oct–Apr) and any trip involving the Sahara or hot-air balloon, book 8–12 weeks ahead. Last-minute (under 14 days) is usually still possible with a phone call.
