Couple questions: Romantic places
How many desert camp nights on a Morocco honeymoon?
One or two. A single night gives you the essentials: sunset over the dunes, dinner under the stars and sunrise the next morning. A second night adds a free day in the desert and a slower pace. Beyond two nights, most couples prefer to move on to a riad or hotel.

The short answer
One or two. A single night gives you the essentials: sunset over the dunes, dinner under the stars and sunrise the next morning. A second night adds a free day in the desert and a slower pace. Beyond two nights, most couples prefer to move on to a riad or hotel.

In more detail
Our comparison notes put it simply: part of a camp's appeal is its brevity. A luxury camp has real beds, linen and an en-suite in each tent, but it is still a camp in the desert, and the romance of it is strongest for a night or two.
Two nights is the shape in our 10-day honeymoon itinerary: arrive for a private sunset on a dune crest, then a free day for a camel ride, a trip to the Iriki dry lake or pure stillness, and a second candlelit dinner with gentle music before you head for the coast.

Use riads for the cities and the coast, and the camp for the desert nights. Trying to camp for several nights tires most honeymooners; one or two perfect nights is the high point, not the whole trip. One night is enough if your trip is short, and the drive in and out is long either way. If you can, choose two: the second night is the one with no driving at all, and many couples find it the calmest of the whole trip.
