Couple questions: Romantic places
Is Dakhla good for a honeymoon?
Yes, for couples who want to disappear. Dakhla is a slender peninsula in the far south where a turquoise lagoon meets the Sahara, with eco-lodges and tented retreats spread far apart. You fly in from Casablanca, about 2 hours 30 minutes, because the road from Marrakech is around 1,700 km. It suits the start or end of a trip.

The short answer
Yes, for couples who want to disappear. Dakhla is a slender peninsula in the far south where a turquoise lagoon meets the Sahara, with eco-lodges and tented retreats spread far apart. You fly in from Casablanca, about 2 hours 30 minutes, because the road from Marrakech is around 1,700 km. It suits the start or end of a trip.

In more detail
Our destination notes call Dakhla the most remote and romantic corner of Morocco. The lagoon is about 40 km long and sheltered from the open ocean by a sandbar. The lodges have private decks over the water and serve fresh seafood, and the sense of having the desert and ocean to yourselves is the point.
There is plenty to do or not do. The flat, shallow water and steady wind make it one of the easiest places to learn to kitesurf, and paddleboarding at golden hour is a gentler option. You can walk out to the White Dune at low tide, drive south to see flamingos, taste oysters at a lagoon farm, or soak in the Asmaa hot springs.

November to April brings the most reliable wind and comfortable days. May to October is quieter and softer, which suits couples who simply want empty beaches and spa days. We arrange the flights and private transfers at both ends, and build Dakhla as a calm chapter beside a wider route.
