Couple questions: Couples practical
What should women wear on a honeymoon in Morocco?
Loose, breathable clothes that cover the shoulders and knees for the medinas, markets and towns, plus a scarf. Linen trousers or a long skirt with a light top work in the heat and adapt to cooler evenings. Keep more body-conscious pieces for the beach, the riad pool or your private terrace, and bring a kaftan or midi dress for dinner.

The short answer
Loose, breathable clothes that cover the shoulders and knees for the medinas, markets and towns, plus a scarf. Linen trousers or a long skirt with a light top work in the heat and adapt to cooler evenings. Keep more body-conscious pieces for the beach, the riad pool or your private terrace, and bring a kaftan or midi dress for dinner.

In more detail
A scarf or pashmina is the most useful thing to pack. Worn loosely around the shoulders, it is a modesty cover near religious sites, a sun shield in the desert and a dust barrier on mountain roads, and it folds to nothing in a day bag.
You do not need to cover your hair as a non-Muslim visitor, except inside certain religious sites where it may be requested. In the cities, many Moroccan women wear contemporary western styles, so you will not look out of place in modest, well-cut clothes.

Comfortable flat shoes or trainers matter on medina cobbles; heels are impractical. For evenings, a refined kaftan, a midi dress or smart trousers with a beautiful wrap fits a luxury riad or a rooftop dinner perfectly.

Good to know
- Choose tops that cover the shoulders rather than vest tops.
- Pack a light cardigan for cool evenings and air-conditioned restaurants.
- Keep the bikini for the pool and the beach; cover up to walk into town.
