Couple questions: Romantic places
Is Morocco good for a spa honeymoon?
Yes. The hammam is part of Moroccan life, and palace and riad spas in Marrakech turn it into a slow ritual for two, with argan and rose treatments after. On the coast, Agadir and Essaouira offer thalassotherapy, and the Atlas foothills and the Agafay host yoga and wellness retreats. Spa days fit easily between sightseeing days.

The short answer

In more detail
Our wellness notes start with the hammam: warm steam, black soap made from olives, and a scrub with a kessa glove. Leading riads and spa hotels offer couples' hammam ceremonies in a reserved suite, followed by an argan or rose massage. Many Marrakech spas also welcome non-residents by appointment.
The ingredients are local. Argan oil comes from a tree that grows only in south-west Morocco. Rosewater and rose oil come from the Dades region around Kelaat M'Gouna, harvested each spring. Spas also use ghassoul clay from the Atlas, orange-blossom water and Atlas honey.

For a whole trip built around rest, the coast adds seawater and marine treatments in Agadir and Essaouira, while the countryside around Marrakech and the Atlas foothills host multi-day retreats with yoga, healthy Moroccan food and time outdoors. A sunrise yoga session at an Agafay camp is easy to add to a desert night.
