Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
Is there jet lag flying to Morocco for a honeymoon?
From the UK and western Europe, little or none. Morocco has kept UTC+0 all year since 20 September 2026, the same as UK winter time and an hour behind the UK in summer. From North America the gap is bigger: Morocco is about 5 hours ahead of New York's standard time, and an hour less while US clocks are forward.

The short answer
From the UK and western Europe, little or none. Morocco has kept UTC+0 all year since 20 September 2026, the same as UK winter time and an hour behind the UK in summer. From North America the gap is bigger: Morocco is about 5 hours ahead of New York's standard time, and an hour less while US clocks are forward.
In more detail
Morocco dropped its old UTC+1 setting in September 2026 and now stays on UTC+0 all year, with no summer change and no Ramadan switch. Most of continental Europe is an hour ahead of Morocco in winter and two hours ahead in summer, which hardly registers on a honeymoon.
From the US East Coast, Morocco is about 5 hours ahead of standard time, or 4 hours while US clocks are forward for summer. Flights from New York, Washington, Boston and Miami reach Casablanca nonstop in around 7 to 8 hours, many of them overnight.

For a long-haul arrival, keep the first day gentle. A riad with a pool, a hammam and an early dinner work better than a full day in the souks. Our 7-day honeymoon route starts that way, with a private airport welcome and a courtyard dinner.
