Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
Can unmarried couples share a hotel room in Morocco?
For visiting foreign couples, generally yes. UK government travel advice says the law on unmarried people sharing a hotel room does not generally apply to visiting foreign nationals. It does apply to Moroccan nationals, including sharing a room with a foreign partner. If one of you is Moroccan, check with each property before you book.

The short answer
For visiting foreign couples, generally yes. UK government travel advice says the law on unmarried people sharing a hotel room does not generally apply to visiting foreign nationals. It does apply to Moroccan nationals, including sharing a room with a foreign partner. If one of you is Moroccan, check with each property before you book.
In more detail
Moroccan law treats relationships outside marriage differently for Moroccan citizens. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office states that sexual activity between unmarried people and adultery are illegal for Moroccan nationals. It adds that for Moroccan nationals this includes sharing a hotel room, particularly with foreign nationals.
The same advice says the law on unmarried people sharing a hotel room does not generally apply to visiting foreign nationals. So a couple who are both foreign visitors, engaged, newly married or not yet married, can normally book a double room in the usual way.

If one partner holds Moroccan nationality, the position is different, and practice can vary between properties. Ask each riad, hotel or camp directly before you confirm, and keep the answer in writing. Official advice changes over time, so read the current FCDO page or your own government's advice before you travel.
