Couple questions: Couples practical
Is Morocco safe for LGBTQ+ couples?
Morocco is not currently a recommended destination for LGBTQ+ couples looking for an open, celebratory honeymoon. Same-sex relationships are criminalised under Moroccan law, and public affection between same-sex couples can attract unwanted attention or legal risk. A visit in the medinas and smaller towns would need significant discretion. Check your own government's travel advice before deciding.

The short answer
Morocco is not currently a recommended destination for LGBTQ+ couples looking for an open, celebratory honeymoon. Same-sex relationships are criminalised under Moroccan law, and public affection between same-sex couples can attract unwanted attention or legal risk. A visit in the medinas and smaller towns would need significant discretion. Check your own government's travel advice before deciding.

In more detail
We would rather be honest than sell you a trip that does not fit. A honeymoon is meant to be relaxed and joyful, and having to hide your relationship for the whole journey is the opposite of that.
Public affection by any couple is uncommon in Morocco and best avoided. For same-sex couples, the consequences of being noticed are more serious, so discretion in public is necessary rather than just courteous.

If you are still considering Morocco, read your government's current advice for LGBTQ+ travellers, think carefully about what discretion would mean for you in practice, and ask us any questions directly. We take bookings without discrimination and can talk through what a trip would involve.

Good to know
- Read your own government's LGBTQ+ travel advice for Morocco.
- Expect to keep affection entirely private throughout the trip.
- Ask us directly about any part of the trip you are unsure of.
