Couple questions: Food and romance
Can you have a champagne breakfast in a riad?
Yes. A champagne breakfast in your riad courtyard is one of the private details we can arrange for a honeymoon. Like the rose-petal turndown or a rooftop dinner, it is set up in advance and confirmed with the riad, not improvised on the day. Mention it when you enquire.

The short answer
Yes. A champagne breakfast in your riad courtyard is one of the private details we can arrange for a honeymoon. Like the rose-petal turndown or a rooftop dinner, it is set up in advance and confirmed with the riad, not improvised on the day. Mention it when you enquire.

In more detail
The everyday riad breakfast is already worth getting up for. A proper one brings msemen or beghrir pancakes, warm khobz bread, argan oil and amlou, local honey, fresh orange juice and mint tea or coffee, served in the courtyard or on the roof.
Champagne is the addition. Because alcohol in Morocco is served in licensed settings, the riad needs to be one that can offer it, which is another reason we arrange it ahead rather than leave it to chance.

If you want to surprise your partner, tell us privately at enquiry. We handle surprise details discreetly with each property.
Other breakfast settings are possible too. A hot-air balloon flight at dawn over the plains outside Marrakech usually ends with a traditional Moroccan breakfast on landing, and a private basket can be arranged so the two of you fly alone.

Good to know
- Choose the morning after a late night, not the day of a long drive.
- Ask for it on the roof in spring or autumn, when mornings are mild.
- Name your partner's favourite drink if champagne is not it.
