Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
Can you fly a drone on a Morocco honeymoon?
Only with permission. Flying a drone in Morocco needs authorisation from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Without it you risk fines and having the drone confiscated, at customs or in the field. The process is slow and bureaucratic, so for most honeymoons the sensible advice is to leave the drone at home.

In more detail
UK government travel advice says that if you plan to bring a drone to Morocco, you must get permission from the Directorate General for Civil Aviation first, or risk fines and confiscation. Our photography guide adds that drones have been confiscated at customs and in the field.
That rules out the casual aerial shot over the dunes or a riad rooftop. If an aerial image matters to you, raise it early. Some desert experiences, such as a hot-air balloon at dawn, give you the high view without a drone.

On the ground there is plenty to work with. A private driver-guide can time Aït Ben Haddou for first light, the dunes for sunrise, and the blue lanes of Chefchaouen for the early morning before the crowds. A phone camera does well in that light.

Good to know
- It is also illegal to photograph near sensitive political or military sites, so ask your guide when in doubt.
