Couple questions: Weddings and celebrations
Do you need a wedding planner in Morocco?
Yes, and planning the day is part of what we do. Our planner understands both what international couples expect and how Moroccan suppliers, permits, staff and timing really work, books the setting, negaffa, caterers, florists, lighting, musicians and photographers with local specialists, and runs the day on the ground. Coordinating remotely with nobody local is where destination weddings most often come undone.

The short answer
Yes, and planning the day is part of what we do. Our planner understands both what international couples expect and how Moroccan suppliers, permits, staff and timing really work, books the setting, negaffa, caterers, florists, lighting, musicians and photographers with local specialists, and runs the day on the ground. Coordinating remotely with nobody local is where destination weddings most often come undone.

In more detail
Much in Morocco runs on relationships and rhythm rather than rigid schedules. A planner who knows the riads, the caterers and the musicians personally can solve problems with a phone call, and can tell you which ideas work in a given space and which do not.
The planner also handles the guest side: airport meet-and-greet, private transfers, exclusive-use stays and clear guidance on dress, customs and the medina's walking-only lanes. The more of that is handled invisibly, the more the celebration feels like pleasure rather than logistics.

The planner does not replace the legal marriage, which most couples complete at home before or after the trip. For any question about the rules for foreign nationals, go to official Moroccan authorities and your embassy.

Good to know
- Bring your planner in before you book anything else; they know which settings suit you.
- Ask who will be on the ground on the day itself.
- The best photographers and negaffas book far ahead, so start early.
