Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
Is a private driver worth it for a Morocco honeymoon?
For most honeymoons, yes. Morocco's distances are long, the medinas are easy to get lost in, and the best stops on the road south are the ones a bus will not make. A private chauffeur-guide handles the driving, the navigation and the timing, so the two of you set the pace. Every trip we plan is fully private.

The short answer
For most honeymoons, yes. Morocco's distances are long, the medinas are easy to get lost in, and the best stops on the road south are the ones a bus will not make. A private chauffeur-guide handles the driving, the navigation and the timing, so the two of you set the pace. Every trip we plan is fully private.

In more detail
The road is where a private driver earns their place. Marrakech to the Sahara crosses the Tizi n'Tichka over the High Atlas and runs past Aït Ben Haddou, Skoura and the Dadès. With your own car you stop where the light is good and linger where you like, and arrive at the camp in time for sunset.
In the cities the help is different: meeting you at the airport, getting your bags to a riad inside a car-free medina, and arranging a private guide who knows when to visit each sight. You never share a vehicle, a guide or a camp with other travellers.

The honest alternative is self-driving, which works for confident drivers on the main roads. For a honeymoon, though, most couples would rather look at each other and the view than at the road. Our drivers speak English, and French and Spanish are widely available. Every booking includes a WhatsApp line to our team for the whole trip, for anything from a flight delay to a restaurant recommendation.
