Couple questions: Proposals and anniversaries
Should we plan an anniversary trip around the date or the season?
Around the date, then let the season decide where you go. Spring and autumn suit almost everywhere. Winter is good for clear desert skies and the coast, with cold nights in the mountains. In high summer, choose the Atlantic coast at Essaouira or Oualidia over the desert. We shape the route to fit your month.

In more detail
Our anniversary guide says it directly: a milestone trip should be built around your date first, the anniversary or the birthday, and the season then shapes where in Morocco you spend it.
March to May and September to November are the most reliable windows, with warm days, cool desert nights and the gardens and valleys at their best. Winter brings the clearest desert skies and suits a festive coastal stay, though high-altitude nights are cold.

July and August are intensely hot inland. For a summer anniversary, a coastal celebration with oysters at Oualidia or a table above the ocean at Essaouira is far more comfortable than a desert dinner, and a pool riad makes Marrakech work early and late. If your date falls at Christmas or New Year, book early: those are the busiest weeks of the year, and the best riads and camps fill first. Spring and autumn are high season too, so plan ahead for those months.
