Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
What is the best month for a Marrakech honeymoon?
April and October are the best single months for a Marrakech honeymoon. Days are warm without being fierce, evenings are made for a rooftop dinner, and the High Atlas is in good shape for a day or two in the mountains. March, May, September and November are close behind. July and August are the hard months.

The short answer
April and October are the best single months for a Marrakech honeymoon. Days are warm without being fierce, evenings are made for a rooftop dinner, and the High Atlas is in good shape for a day or two in the mountains. March, May, September and November are close behind. July and August are the hard months.
In more detail
Our Marrakech season guide puts spring and autumn first. In spring, daytime temperatures run from about 18°C in early March to about 28°C in May. In autumn, September is still warm, around 28 to 32°C, while October and November settle at about 20 to 26°C by day with cool evenings.
Summer is the trade-off. In July and August midday highs of 38 to 42°C are common and the afternoon medina is hard work. It can still work for a honeymoon if the riad has a pool and you keep sightseeing to the early morning and after 5 pm.

Winter is quieter and, for some couples, the most romantic choice. Days are sunny at around 16 to 20°C, nights fall to 5 to 10°C, and snow shows on the Atlas from the rooftops. The last week of December is one of the busiest in the city, so book early for New Year. January and February are the calmest weeks of the year.

Good to know
- Ramadan in 2027 runs from about 8 February to 9 March. Check the dates before you fix a late-winter honeymoon.
- April and October book up first at the best riads, so plan two to three months ahead.
