Couple questions: Honeymoon planning
Is spring a good time for a Morocco honeymoon?
Yes. March to May is the best all-round season for a Morocco honeymoon. Marrakech is warm by day and pleasant on a rooftop at night, the Sahara is still comfortable, and the Atlas has wildflowers. The rose harvest in the Dadès Valley falls in late April and early May. The catch is demand: April is peak season.

The short answer
In more detail
Our packing guide calls spring the best all-round season, with warm days of about 20 to 28°C in Marrakech and cool evenings. In the desert, March and April are still good, with pleasant days and nights that stay comfortable. By May, midday in the Sahara is climbing towards 35°C, so sunrise and sunset matter more.
Spring also brings the rose harvest in the Dadès Valley, which our 10-day honeymoon route passes through on the way to the desert. In Fes, March and April are excellent, at about 18 to 24°C with the medina gardens in bloom.

The trade-off is popularity. April is peak season in Marrakech and the best riads and desert camps fill early. Ramadan can also fall in spring in some years. In 2027 it runs from about 8 February to 9 March, then moves earlier each year.

Good to know
- Pack light layers and a light jacket for the mountains and desert evenings.
- Book two to three months ahead for an April honeymoon.
