Couple questions: Romantic places
Are the Ouzoud falls worth it for couples?
Yes, as a full day out of Marrakech. The Cascades d'Ouzoud are Morocco's tallest waterfalls, dropping about 110 metres over red cliffs near Azilal. You walk down through olive groves, take a rowing boat under the spray and lunch at a cafe over the gorge. It is about 2 hours 30 minutes each way, so plan a long day.

In more detail
Our notes describe stepped paths winding down from the clifftop cafes to the base of the falls in about twenty to thirty minutes, past natural pools and viewpoints. Small wooden boats ferry visitors across the plunge pool close enough to feel the spray, which is the classic view of the whole drop.
On sunny days the mist forms rainbows across the gorge, best seen from the terraced lookouts near the top. Wild Barbary macaques live in the groves around the falls; keep a respectful distance and do not feed them. Terraced cafes serve mint tea and tagines with views straight onto the water.

Spring brings the strongest flow after the Atlas snowmelt, and late summer the calmest pools and warmest water for a swim. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable for the walk down. For a slower pace, the Ait Bougmez valley lies further into the mountains beyond Azilal.
